Friday Sketchers - Sketch #58

Here is a card I made today using this weeks sketch over on the Friday Sketchers. For my card I have rotated the sketch through 90 degrees. The main images are Swiss Pixies called Heidi & Gretel both from CC Designs....and I love them. Both have been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E25
Clothes - BG15/BG18/R05/R22
Shadow - BG10
The papers are all DCWV "The Green Stack" and I have layered them with Core-dinations cardstock. I have also used my Nesties for the layering of the main image and my SU scalloped punch. The gems are pearls by Kanban and the sentiment is by Craftwork Cards layered with scraps punched with my SU oval and scalloped oval punches.

As you can see below I have used scraps to decorate the inside of the card...

Thanks for the DT over on Friday Sketchers for their inspiration...and a special thanks to Carole for her fab sketch.

I am in Punch Heaven...

Well after almost giving up hope on ever getting my order for the Martha Stewart Valentines Lace punch.....Craft Obsessions got their delivery, even though they were told it was discontinued and unlikely ever to appear...

Not only that Pam, my Mother in Law managed to get me an X-Cut Dimension Butterfly Punch from The Range in Southampton...the last one they had.

Seems like the punch fairy is looking after me today....yay!!!

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge "3D Fun"

This week over on the Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge Blog we have a theme of "3D Fun", we want to see all your 3D ATC's. For my card I have used a new stamp from CC Designs called Heidi, and she has been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Eyes - BG01
Hair - C1/C3/C5/C7

I have then added some Sakura clear glitter gel pen to her hair, and some "Orange Peel" Stickles to her wings.

Georgia spent the whole day at the school she is going up to in September....and had a great time. It took a huge weight off my mind as she is going to a different school to all of her friends. So knowing that she has already started to make a friend is a good sign.

Friday Sketchers - Sketch #57

This week over on the Friday Sketchers Blog there is a lovely sketch provided by Beatrix. For my card I have used one of The Greeting Farm "Hope & Grace" stamps coloured using Copics. The papers are all DCWV "Latte" and I have layered them with Core-dinations cardstock. I have kept the embellishments very simple, I used my new punch to create the 3d butterflies. The punch is the same as the X-Cut Dimensions Butterfly punch that was a limited edition back in May, and is rarer than hens teeth (I love that saying...LOL)I put some gems onto the wings to make them sparkle, they are also cut from glitter cardstock that is in the DCWV "Latte" cardstock matt pad. I got the butterfly punch from Studio Cards...just incase your were wondering. I also used my new EK Success swirl punch, and finally I used a sentiment by Craftwork Cards layered up with scallop oval and ovals punch with my Stampin' Up punches.

Here is a picture of the inside decorated with the leftover scraps... Pop over to the Friday Sketchers blog and join in....as always the DT cards are gorgeous.

The Sugar Bowl - Challenge 13 "Lilian's Sketch"

Over on The Sugar Bowl there is a fab sketch by Lilian together with the "please include" option of using Kraft paper, or brown and cream cardstock. To be in with a chance of winning the fab Gorjuss Girls 3 you need to use the option.....so that is what I have done.
For my card I have used one of the girls from Gorjuss Girls set 2, coloured with Copics. The papers are all DCWV "The Green Stack" layered with Core-dinations cardstock. I have used my Nesties to cut the matts for the main image, and my new swirl punch. The flower was given to me by Marlene when I was visiting yesterday....actually she never gave it to me.....I just chose it, and she was good enough to let me have it.....thanks hun x To finish off I have used some Basic Grey Opaline in a teal colour, and a TLC rubon.

As you can see below I have decorated the inside with more of the same papers, and also another image. The back is also decorated with smaller scraps, and my handmade by stamp

Thanks to Lilian for the lovely sketch and also to the DT for more fab cards..... x

I has such fun with Marlene and her family yesterday, we got there at 8.10am, and left at 8pm...Georgia said that it felt like we had been there 2 days as we got there so early...LOL

This weekend I got an email asking if I wanted to have a stall at a local "Colour/Image Evening", so I will have to decide this evening and start preparing this week....luckily I have a stock of cards already made...LOL

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog we have a theme of "Tag, You're It!". For my card I have combined our challenge with the sketch over on Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog....it fitted with the way I wanted to hide my tag inside the card.
For my card I have used one of the Magnolia Pet Collection that only arrived yesterday, she is called Tilda with Cat and I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E47/E49/E57
Clothing - R46/BG09/BG10/BG18
The papers are all DCWV "The Green Stack" which are made from 70% recycled paper, and I have layered them with come Core-dinations cardstock. I have embellished with the help of my labels nesties, some Tim Holtz Adage tickets, some Anita's ribbon, a heart pin and the flower is made from a coupe of Prima blossoms at the bottom held with a Wildorchidcrafts paper rose.

Inside I have decorated with some scraps and also another flower by Wildorchidcrafts and a Tim Holtz Adage ticket.

To fasten the flat I added a velcro square that I got cheap in Tescos....the brad and spacer that I added to the flar are purely decorative as the velcro holds the flap shut.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #56 - A sketch by MichelleO

This week over on the A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog there is a fab sketch provided by the talented MichelleO. for my card I have used one of the new hAnglar & stAnglar images coloured with my Copics. The papers are all Scenic Route "Garden Grove" and I have layered them with Core-dinations cardstock. This one is pretty simple (as it is a male card) so all I have added was some string....to give the impression of kite string, some buttons attached with Karen Foster Scrappers Floss, and a few Kars gems.

I think this may be the fastest I have completed a card for a challenge...well except the ones I am on a DT for....LOL. I had already coloured the image last night, and chosen papers....just got too tired to do anymore.

Pop on over and join in, there is a fab prize...and amazing DT cards to look at.

Something from the weekend....

Well I have no card to show you this morning as last night I was working on my ATC for this weeks Tilda and Friends Challenge, and I was also planning my card for CCT this week. So instead I thought I would show you this completed wall hanging I made a GoGo Getaway. The workshop was taught by Mary Anne Walters (owner of UKScrappers and DT member of Scrapbook Inspirations) and I am so pleased with my completed project. The base of this wall hanging is made from mount board, and all the papers are from Scenic Route "Garden Grove". Now I am even more impressed with myself as those pictures were only taken on the Saturday, and I printed them on my Canon Selphy CP760 (love my little printer) and then used on Sunday morning....I think that may just be the quickest I have ever scrapped a photo.... The only things that weren't included were the glitter thickers that I added. I even managed last night to unpack my stash from the weekend and get it put back to where it lives (at the moment), and I went into my Craft Room to do some more sorting so that I can move most of my stash back up there.

So, while I was away my new iPhone arrived....and the minute I got home I just wanted to play and get everything set up....and once we worked out that you needed to read the online manual to work out ho to get the dang SIM card in....all was well. Last night David also managed to get my purchased iTunes songs off my sick Nano and onto my iPhone.....we had to sync my iPod to my desktop seeing as how my Vaio is still poorly, and so far I am loving my iPhone....it looks so gorgeous and sexy in black.

It's almost over....

The weekend that is. Marlene and I have had a blast, we have had some fun classes with, Shimelle, Jane Dean and Fiona Beckman, and today we have a workshop with Mary Ann Walters. Marlene is just getting ready for a quick photoshoot with CJ (Cheryl Johnson) and I am trying to recover from another late night.

Yesterday we went for a walk in the grounds of Theobalds Park to take some photos of each other...I am sure she will show you some of hers....LOL. While there we got one of the other girls to take some fun pics of us together in the treehouse......and here is one of them.

We have even managed to wear co-ordinating outfits...which was not planned I can promise you...LOL . Marlene is going to be showing you a different photo. We had such fun with these....by the time this photo was taken my knees were killing me as I was leaning on the very edge of the piece of tree stump.

I will be back either this evening or more likely tomorrow morning to show you a couple of the things we have made.

I'm off...

But just for a weekend....I am GoGo Getting Away with Marlene....yay us.

I seem to be having a technological nightmare at the moment. My poorly Vaio has to go back to Sony....they are calling me on Monday, and the data is safe but cannot be retrieved by anyone but Sony....can't tell you how disgsuted I am as I know a few kids who read here....need I say more.

And now to add insult to injury I was charging my iPod to take with me....and low and behold the click wheel has decided not to work....I am more than a little miffed as this is not even six month old.......and what is worse I just ordered an iPhone yesterday and now I am wondering whether that was a big mistake too......oh well

Anyway my stash is just about packed and I am about to pack my clothes. Marlene is coming to collect me at midday and we are going out for a spot of lunch before driving the hour to the venue.

I will try to come back later with some pics or even some creations...if I can squeeze them in between all the fun we are going to have. It is hard to believe that I only met Marlene a year ago today....and we have become such great friends....isn't the internet a wonderful thing!

Till later...

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 63 "Nip and a Punch"

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog we have a theme of "Nip and a Punch"...we want you to use punches and/or die-cuts on your card.

This week we have a new Guest DT member, Jilly of Jilly's Creations. We also have a sponsor, Sheetload Shortcuts who kindly provided the whole DT with a pack of wonderful clear and frosted acetate cards and also some giftcard holders. She has also provided the same wonderful prize to two lucky winners.

For my card I have used an image from the "Wild Sprouts" range at The Greeting Farm she is called "Dahlia" and I have coloured her with my Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/YR00/E11/R20
Hair - E43/E47/E49
Flower - V06/V09
Clothing - YG03/V09
Tights - YG11/V06
The papers I have used are all by DCWV from the "Latte" paper pad, and matching cardstock stacks. For the punches I have used my Stampin' Up oval and scalloped oval punches and also my oval Nestabilities. Finally I have embellished with Stampin' Up choc chip taffeta ribbon, Prima and Craft Fairy blossoms held together with a Doodlebug sugar coated brad and spacer. The sentiment is also from Stampin' Up.

As the card is acetate I have stuck matching size papers on the inside of the front of the card. I have also used one of the giftcard holders on the inside of the card, and I have attached more papers to cover it. I left the inside of the giftcard holder plain so that I can write the birthday wishes on the inside of it.

This is only my second ever acetate card, and I am really pleased with how it has turned out. Below is a picture take from another angle to show you the dimension and a little of the inside.

Club Anya - I Wanna Be Just Like......

UKCaz...that's me. This weekend over on the Club Anya Blog, the challenge was to CASE my card above....and I had the incredibly difficult task of choosing the winner. Well I looked at them all, made a short list of my favourites looked at them again...and again...and yep, you got it....Again. Eventually I chose Mindy with her card Hello...and here it is...
Mindy won a prize which was some The Greeting Farm digital images....congrats to Mindy....isn't her card fab.

A Double Act....

As it was a lovely weekend and I wanted to be in the garden, I decided to combine two of the Friday challenges.....Just Magnolia & Friday Sketchers. For my card I have used a Magnolia stamp from the Spring Stamp Club and coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - C-1/C-3/C-5/C-7
Dress - C-1/C-3
Apron & Wellies - R27

The papers are all by DCWV "La Creme" stack, and I have added some red Coredinations cardstock for layering. The blossoms are a mix of Prima and Craft Fairy and they are attached with a brad and spacer, finally I finished off with some bling, and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards that I have layered with my Stampin' Up Oval and Scalloped Oval punches. The inside is decorated but my batteries ran out, so will add it later this evening.

Thanks to the DT's from both Blogs...as always your work is an inspiration. Georgia was back at school this morning....and I was paranoid about over sleeping....but all turned out OK....all because I left the curtains open a little in my bedroom and the sunshine woke me....yay for the sunshine.
