Hanglar & StAnglar Thank You" ATC

I made this cutie for a lady who shall remain nameless until she receives it....which should be tomorrow. I never thought I would ever enjoy making ATC's as all the ones I had seen were very collagey (made that word up) in style and I am rubbish at that sort of style. After seeing all the cute ATC's over on the Magnolia & Friends ATC Blog....I realised they could also be cute and fab. I think this is about the 7th one I have made with a cute stamp, all previous ones were trying to emulate that arty style, and I was pleased I never kept any of them...LOL.

I have been rushing around today trying to get stuff organised before I am off on Friday....only 4 days until I leave for Chesham and ScrapFever....can't wait.

I have another Hanglar & StAnglar card to share a little later, just need to get it loaded.

Five Days to go........then it's Fever time....

Ok, so I am now officially excited, for on Friday @ lunchtime I am off to Chesham, to Latimer Place Hotel for ScrapFever April 2008 Retreat....and the pictures of the new refurb look fab. I am planning to upload all the pics I need to print to Costco this evening so that they can be collected on Monday/Tuesday....and I have to start deciding what supplies I want/need to take...LMAO.

I did make another card last night...Another with my gorgeous new Hanglar & StAnglar stamps....I can never get bored of these lovelies.
The other stamps used are Stampendous and Papirloftet, the papers are K&Co "Hopscotch", the ribbons are American Craft, the buttons are from a huge stash I have...I had a buttons addiction for a while...I seem to at least be able to use them now, rather than just hoard them.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 3 "People"

This card was totally inspired by one from Monica I loved the card so much that I went and bought the stamp. I already had the papers and have been using them all month, I think they are my favourite PaperMania papers ever. So in addition to the papers and Bella stamps, I used a Stampin' Up sentiment circle stamp, and some HobbyCraft ribbon. I even used Monica's technique of going around the image in a pale blue colour...it really does make the image pop.

Arty Girlz Challenge 27 "Chocolate"

This weeks challenge over on the Arty Girlz Challenge Blog was to create a chocolate themed project....You had to use chocolate plus another colour...and of course white was also allowed. So here is mine, I learnt this technique at a Stampin' Up party, and thought I would make another one. I have used my Shy Tilda and cupcake stamps from Magnolia. The Papers are Basic Grey "Sultry" & "Sugared", the ribbon is by Stampin' Up "choc chip taffeta", and I used my ATB tape writer for the sentiment.
You wouln't believe this is actually my third attempt at completing this challenge, as I kept adding another colour.....finally I have managed to stick to the two colours.

Hanglar & StAnglar's and Blog Candy Giveaway

I just cannot get enough of these gorgeous stamps...I just really really wish that I could get hold of some more designs. I think I need a PenPal in Norway or Sweden....so if you are from either of those lovely countries and want to take pity of a Hanglar obsessed card maker...please get in touch.

Anyway, back to the card. I obviously used one of my new Hanglar stamps, the sentiment stamp is by Clevercut, the papers are K&Co, the gorgeous ribbon is chocolate chip tafeta by Stampin' Up, the blossom is by L'il Davis and the button is by Doodlebug. I started making this card with the intention of using it for this weeks Arty Girlz "Chocolate" challenge, but you were only supposed to use one other colour with the brown...and I got carried away...

Now this card is also using one of my new Hanglar stamps....how much do I love these cuties. The other stamp used is by Stampendous....it is the only one I have left from a lovely packet that I have LOST....goodness knows where the rest are, I have searched everywhere and have decided that if I stop looking, I will find them....well I live in hope. The papers are Basic Grey "Sultry", the ribbon is American Craft, the blossoms are Bazzill (pink) and L'il Davis (green), and finally the buttons are Doodlebug.

Now if you are drooling over these lush stamps, don't forget to check out my Blog Candy Giveaway....some stamped Hanglar & StAnglar, Magnolia and Sugar Nellie images and a brand new Magnolia "Steps" stamp....all you need to do is comment on the "Blog Candy Giveaway" post with a link to something you have created and I will add your name to the draw.....go on....they are soooo lush.

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge "Blue & Yellow"

Here is my ATC for this weeks challenge. I love this little Bear Edwin from the newest Magnolia release.
I even splashed out and used my new Basic Grey "Cupcake" papers from the 6x6 pad I purchased last week. The sentiment is done using my ATB tape writer and as usual I have used my Prismacolors and blended with Sansador. The little piece of ribbon making a tab is by American Craft.

Another fab challenge ladies, so thanks.

Ismaki Challenge 12

They arrived this morning and they are gorgeous....thanks Kim. I love their faces, they are so cute and so different to Magnolia's and Sugar Nellies. Anyway, I wasn't feeling so good today I have been coming down with a cold for the last few days, so I stayed home for the day...and played with my new stamps. So here is the first card I made with my very own Hanglar & Stanglars...

The papers are K&Co "Hopscotch", the buttons are Making Memories and Doodlebug, and the sentiment stamp is by Stampendous.

I am now in the middle of another card with my new stamps, so be prepared to see more of them over the next week until I have made a card with each of them.

Sugar Nellie with GoGo Create...

After making a card for the Tilda & Co Challenge Blog with my March ScrapaGoGo kit, I couldn't resist making a Sugar Nellie card with the kit. I love the colours in the K&Co "Wild Saffron" papers, and used a gorgeous muted shade to colour the image. I used my Prisma's with Sansador...no surprise there. The sentiment is a Stampendous stamp, and all other elements are from the March ScrapaGoGo kit.

Back to work for me tomorrow....how nice has the long weekend been, even if the weather has been awful.

Tilda & Co Challenge 12 - Template Challenge

This weeks challenge over on Tilda & Co Challenge Blog is a template design. For the challenge I used one of my new Tilda's, she is Tilda Gathering Straw. All the other items used were part of my March ScrapaGoGo kit, and the sentiment is by Stampendous.

I really enjoyed working from the template, thanks for the challenge ladies.

March ScrapaGoGo DT work...

The March ScrapaGoGo contained the gorgeous K&Co "Wild Saffron". This LO uses old photos, from 2000, that I took on my first (prehistoric) Digital Camera. The picture of the Eiffel Tower was taken in two shots...in landscape for the base and portrait for the top section. I noticed when putting the LO together that they matched perfectly, so used them both.
I kept it simple choosing the patterned paper with the graph effect and border. Then just cut some flowers from one of the other sheets and added them with the cut out butterflies and a journal card.

My next project was the mini book from the kit. I used all elements from the kit...as in all my projects. I decided to do a "Book of Georgia", I did and A-G. A is for Adorable, B is for Beautiful, C is for Confident, D is for Determind, E is for Energetic, F is for Fun, G is for Georgia.

The final LO I did was a 12x6, with more pictures of Georgia taken while we went for a walk around Willen Lake.

More Magnolia's...

After tidying up again after a house full yesterday, I sat down and made a quick card. I already had the image coloured, and decided to do a tree stamped onto patterned papers.
The papers are more of the PaperMania "Retro Floral" range, and the sentiment is using my ATB tape writer.

I am off out for Sunday lunch with the family now, but later I will load my March ScrapaGoGo DT work.

Now don't eat too much chocolate while I am out.

More Hanglar & Stanglar Cards

Earlier in the week I arranged for Lynsey to come over and craft while her Hubby and Kids went to the football. After a slight change of plans...due to the extremely cold weather/snow and sleet the Girls came over too. So I spent the whole morning cleaning as we were having dinner all together too. Anyway, in between all the cleaning I made a couple of cards with images sent to me in a swap with Kim over on UKS. I love these stamps...so cute. On this one I used My Prisma's with Sansador on the stamped images. The other stamp used was Stampendous "Two You", which I have coloured with Sakura stardust glitter gel pens. The paper are AMM which came free with an old issue of Scrapbook Inspirations, and American Craft Ribbon.

This next card uses stamps from the same sets. The papers are Crate Paper "Hampton" and the ribbon is American Craft. Image coloured as before.

Tomorrow I am out with Georgia visiting my Dad & Sister. We are having a belated Birthday lunch for me...I think it is Roast Lamb....yum yum.

Arty Girlz Challenge 26 "Doodling"

This weeks challenge for Arty Girlz Blog has taken me a little longer to finish this week. I signed up to a Doodling class over on "Big Picture Scrapbooking" at the end of last year. book. I did some of the classes, and I covered my notebook in brown paper, but until this week hadn't got around to decorating it. Seeing the challenge it reminded me that I hadn't, and I thought it would be the ideal project for this weeks challenge.

So thank you ladies, as you inspired me to get it done.

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge "Chocolate"

Hmmm....one of my favourite things...chocolate. Years ago my Mum bought me this cute fridge magnet that said "I like chocolate-alot" and when I saw the challenge, it reminded me of that long forgotten fridge magnet.

I used my new Tilda in T-Shirt stamp with PaperMania "Retro Floral" papers, and ATB tape writer. Tilda is coloured with my Prismacolor's and Sansador, and has Sakura Clear Glitter Gel pen on her wings.

Thanks to the ladies over on Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blog for another great challenge.

It's my Birthday and I'll make cards if I want to...

Well it's here.....today is my ***cough xxth*** birthday. I am off to school for a day of fun and crafting with Georgia and the rest of Year One.

I was a lucky girl this year, I got a Link of London "Sweetie" bracelet from my Dad & Sister, a charm for it from Hubby, and a Momiji doll called Snowflake from Georgia, some Hanglar & Stanglar stamps with the money my MIL & FIL gave me....I will show pictures later.

Anyway here is the card I made last night. The stamp is one of the new Magnolia's and it's Bear Edwin. The other stamp is a Journal stamp by Papirloftet. The papers ribbon and rub-ons are by Rhonna Farrer, the buttons are by Doodlebug & Queen & Co, and I used by ATB tape writer for the sentiment.

Off now to have fun...will be back laters.

PC created Circle Sentiments

I have had a couple of requests for how to's on this, and I am not very good at explaining, so I have added a file for you to download. To change the words of the sentiment you need to click on the circle so that a box comes around it. Then choose "edit text", and insert your own sentiment. You can also change the colour and size in this area..."WordArt Format". I am using Word 2007, but the file is saved for all word formats.

If you have a problem downloading the file, please feel free to email me on caroline.sears@btinternet.com

My Magnolia & Sugar Nellie Collaboration...

Last night my Magnolia's and Sugar Nellie's decided that they wanted to collaborate on a card. Yesterday was a busy day and I never got a chance to colour...thankfully I had a couple of coloured images sitting there waiting to be made into something. I really hate for a day to pass without having created something...after all...a day without craft is a day wasted...LOL

So for this one I used Sugar Nellie Cowboy (from the Funkykits Kit) and Magnolia Horse. The sentiment is a stampendous stamp. I used Crate Papers "Hampton" and the sheriff's badge is a QK die and finally I used my Prisma's with Sansador to colour the stamped images.

I had a lovely email the other evening, really made my week. It was from Owen the designer of the new "Millie & George" stamps that are available exclusively from www.sillymonkeycrafts.co.uk. He said how much he liked my cards, and that I should send some of them into the DT callout over on the website. Sadly I am unable to design for anyone else other than ScrapaGoGo, and to be honest life is so busy right now, that I wouldn't want to commit to anything else. So "Thank You Owen", it is always nice to receive a compliment.

For all those other Magnolia "Tilda" obsessed stampers out there...quick heads up, www.theglitterpot.co.uk have had a delivery of Magnolia stamps, none of the newest release, but a lovely selection none the less.

Hope everyone is having a fab day/week, today is my last working day this week as I am at Georgia's school tomorrow doing crafty things with the Year One Student....and Staff...LOL

My First Hanglar & Stanglar card

My first ever Hanglar & Stanglar card. I so wanted some of these stamps, but they are rarer than Hens teeth in the Uk...since they are only available to buy in Sweden & Norway. Lucky for me I did a stamped image swap with the lovely Kim (Kittypuss over on UKS). So last night I finally finished colouring her in. I have used my Prismacolor's with Sansador and the papers are all Cosmo Cricket "Halfway Cafe". I used a white poster paint Sharpie to write on the blackboard paper.

The good news for me is that since making this card last night, I am about to become the proud owner of 8...yes 8 Hanglar stamps....yay me...LOL. Such nice timing as today is my 19th Wedding Anniversary and Thursday is also my **insert coughing** birthday. David has taken the day off work, and I only have to work for about 3 hours, so we are off out to lunch, and then off to the jewellers so that I can try on a "Sweetie Bracelet" made by Links of London...as my Dad & Sister want to buy it for my Birthday....lucky me. This week has been a fab week so far....one of the best in ages, but I will tell you more later.

Birthday Hidden Message Card

After doing the Tilda & Co Challenge this week, I decided to make another hidden message card. I used most of the same products as I did previously. The main thing I changed was the theme and stamp. This stamp is one of the new Tilda's. The previous Tilda with balloons....only had one balloon. I liked this stamp for the heart balloon.
Like last time, I stamped onto shrink plastic to make a small charm that is hidden under the flap. At the moment I have left the tag without a message so that I can personalise it at a later date.

Easter Card

I am so loving the new Magnolia stamps. They really have come up with some super cute stamps this release. As soon as I saw the designs I had to order them direct from Magnolia....I just NEEDED them...LOL

Yesterday we had visitors...David's parent came and spent the day with us...well Georgia and I, as David went to work just after lunchtime. We made a quick trip to HobbyCraft as I had a £5 voucher to spend....and of course I ended up spending more than that...I got myself a pack of 8x8 PaperMania Retro Floral papers, 5 reels of ribbon and a couple of other bits for Georgia. Georgia was spoiled as Nana & Pops (in laws) bought her an easter gift....3 bottles of paint, 2 packs of paint brushes and some stickers.

So anyway last night I really wanted to use those new papers....shocking I know....I wanted to use them on the same day and they were PaperMania...LOL.

Materials Used: Bunny Tilda with Egg, Papirloftet journal block stamp, Basic Grey two scoops swirlie stamps, PaperMania "Retro Floral" papers, HobbyCraft ribbon and Doodlebug buttons .

On this one I have used Cuddley Tilda stamp and Tilda's Cat the other stamps are Autumn Leaves Swirls 2 and the sentiment is by Stamps Away. The papers are Basic Grey "Phoebe"...I have almost finished the paper pad now...LOL I have also used a Doodlebug button and American Craft Ribbon. The image is coloured with Prisma's and Sansador, and there is also some Sakura Stardust Glitter Gel Pen (clear).

This was the first time I had made a card according to a sketch...will have to use sketches more often.

Arty Girlz Challenge 25 "Stars"

The challenge this week was "stars" whether it be star shapes or film stars. I decided to take a break from making a card and instead made a little ATC using one of my new Magnolia stamps. This is the new sitting Tingla...and isn't she cute.

I used Sassafraslass "Daydream" papers, Sakura Stardust Glitter Gel Pen (Clear), Doodlebug rub-ons, misc bling. The stamped image is coloured with my Prismacolor pencils and Sansador.

Thanks ladies for another fab challenge.

Happy Easter Card

My new Magnolia's arrived from Sweden yesterday and I couldn't resist diving straight in and making something with them. So here is the Easter card I made last night.

I love this little Tilda in the Bunny Outfit...just so darn cute. The other stamp used "Journal Block" is by Papirloftet. The papers are Basic Grey "Phoebe", ribbon by American Craft and the buttons are Doodlebug. The bling was from QVC and is marked as Design Originals. I also used my ATB Tape Writer for the "Happy Easter".

I made another ATC last night, but didn't have time to load it before I left for work, so will do that later.

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge "In the Pink"

So there is a new Tilda Challenge Blog on the block, only this one is all about ATC's. Now I have only ever made about 12, and most of them were part of a swap during a Cyber Crop on UKScrappers. So yesterday I checked out the new challenge (only the second one) and it was "In the Pink". Last night I had a play, and inspired by both Marlene and Andrea...I decided to have a go, and made a few. I really enjoyed it, and think I will have to make more. Georgia has even asked me to make her some....now there's a surprise...NOT.

Anyway I used a mixture of products, the pink papers are by 7Gypsies "Baby Oh Girl", and the green ones are Basic Grey "Phoebe". I added some Hobbycraft ribbon to one of them, and a Dovecraft "Kolette Hall" stamp...Picture Perfect....I only stamped the perfect bit.

Check out the Blog...have a go.....it fun.

Marlene's "Green" Candy Challenge

The uber talented Marlene, you can see her blog with wonderful creations on HERE is having a Blog Candy contest/challenge. Anyone who has read Marlene's Blog knows that she loves all things green. Here is what she said...
"I love the colour Green so you will have to use it somewhere in your creation.. and as I tend to use ribbon alot, I would like to see some of this too
Soooo… the challenge is that your creation has to have some green and some ribbon (alot or a little) in it. This can be a card, scrapbook page, altered item… anything at all...

So last night I made this. I stamped the card with my trusty Autumn Leaves Swirls 2 stamps an coloured them with Sakura Stardust Glitter Pens. The main image is Tilda in a Heart Dress, and I used my new SU circle sentiments inside my SU Scalloped punch. The ribbons is just some random stuff I found in my stash mountain. I used my Prismacolor and Sansador to colour....I am getting better with practice.....well I think I am.

Thanks Marlene, lovely challenge...and the candy looks amazing.

More cards from me....

I tried some different things out last night. I decided that I wanted to use less patterned paper on a few cards and see how they turned out. So I stamped the card around the edges using my Autumn Leaves Swirls 2. I then coloured it using my Sakura Stardust Glitter Gel Pens. The other stamps used are Magnolia Love Tilda and Stampendous Happy Birthday 2U circle sentiment. The patterned paper is Basic Grey "Phoebe", the scalloped punch is by SU and the ribbon is Bo Bunny.

I was so pleased with how it came out that I did it again....but coloured in a different combination....

This ones uses WRMK patterned paper, Magnolia Tilda with Heart Present and Doodlebug ribbon...all other elements are as above.

I have a couple more colour combo's on the go at the moment, so will finish them off tonight.

Another Card Offering...

This is my 6th Christmas card, I intend to make another 4 for the UKS Run Rudolph Run Challenge. I have never been so organised....now if only I can remember to actually write them and post them in time...LOL

I have used Festive Hat Tilda with Blonde Moments Xmas papers, and a Stamps Away sentiment circle, the bling was from QVC and has a label of Design Objectives on it.

I made the Christening card for my Nephew who's christening is next month. I started to make a card with the Magnolia church stamp, but I just wasn't happy, so have put it aside to turn into something else later. In this card I have used the Tilda Bunny stamp, Heidi Swapp baby corner stamps, 7Gypsies papers, QK revolution for the scalloped frame and the heart.

Inside I have printed the following verse/poem...

"Your darling little angel, was sent from heaven above, as you celebrate his christening, you're surrounding him with love".

Hopefully they will like it.

More Christmas Cards...

Once I started making a few Christmas Cards, I found it hard to stop...what is wrong with me, I usually hate making them...I think these Magnolia's are making it happen...they have magical powers.

This one is using Thinking Tilda stamp from Magnolia, Xmas Sentiment Circle stamp is by Stamps Away (love this stamp). The papers are old Chatterbox Xmas papers from a couple of years ago...I am a hoarder ya know (and they are not my cuppa tea scrapping wise)...LOL. The ribbons is American Craft and the jewels were from QVC...I believe they are by Design Objectives (that's what the box said). As usual I used my Prismacolor pencils with Sansador to colour Tilda.

This next one also features a Magnolia stamp, but this time Edwin. The other stamps used are both from Stamps Away, the papers are Basic Grey "Blitzen", again more papers that I really didn'tenjoy scrapping with..and I have a stack of them....so they are destined for card making. Ribbon is again by American Craft, and Edwin is coloured as always with my trusty Prisma's & Sansador.
This final card is using another Magnolia, this time Festive Tilda. The papers are by KI Memories, but they are a couple of years old and I cannot remember which line they were. Sentiment stamp is as above (Stamps Away) and the bling and colouring are as above.

I think I now have six cards made ready for Christmas, and I intend to have about 40 by the time is gets here....a few a month is definately better than a mad dash in November/December, and then running out of time and not getting them posted before final posting day...it happens to me almost every year...LOL

I got my SU order this morning, so I am sure to be playing with my new "Circle of Friendship" stamps this evening.

Have a fab day everyone.

Tilda & Co Challenge 10 - From Boyz to Men

Here is my card for the challenge. It is so much easier to create girly cards than yucky boy cards. I have always struggled with male cards....but these gorgeous Tilda's make it fun to keep trying. For this card I used Sitting Edwin and the Book Pile, both by Magnolia. The papers are by Rhonna Farrer, as are the rubons. The chipboard star was then covered in more RF paper. I coloured the image with my Prismacolor's and Sansador, and added glossy accents to the star on Edwin's top.

I am really pleased as I never usually enjoy making male cards...but this time I did.

Baby's First Birthday Card

This is my first card with my new Tingla stamp...she is so cute, and was always out of stock everywhere, I finally got my hands on her last week after resorting to eBay....then days later she came into stock at one of the online stores I buy from......isn't that just typical. Anyway, I stamped her and coloured her using my Prismacolor pencils and Sansador, with 7Gypsies Oh Girl Oh papers, SU scalloped punch, Doodlebug button and my PC for the circular sentiment. I have also added some Sakura clear glitter pen to her hair & wings...you can never have too much sparkle.

Christmas has come early...

Ok, so not really, but after seeing the challenge on UKScrappers to make 5 cards a month ready for December, I thought I would give it a go. I dug out all my Christmas scrapping papers that I was going to give away/sell and decided just to use them up....that way I am giving cards away with papers I didn't want anyway.

So this first one is using Tilda with a lantern, coloured using Prismacolor pencils with Sansador, Doodlebug papers, Bazzill cardstock, misc red ribbon my SU scalloped punch with a sentiment stamps from Stamps Away.

This next one is Tilda sitting on a Christmas Present, I also coloured her with Prismacolor pencils and Sansador. I used the same papers etc as the previous card, I just changed the layout a little.

I am not sure that I will manage 5 Xmas cards per month, but I will made a few every month so that family and close friends can have handmade cards.

Anniversary Cards

I really love this Magnolia "Love" stamp, she is just so cute. I coloured her using Prisma's and Sansador. The other stamps on this card are the "rose" and the "love" which were part of the stamp set in February GoGo Create kit designed by Anam Stubbington exclusively for ScrapaGoGo, and the "ticket" is by Papirloftet. I used Autumn Leaves papers by Rhonna Farrer, and some DCWV cardstock.

I intend to give this to my Hubby on our 19th Wedding Anniversary on the 18th of this month.

This next one uses many of the same products. The stamp is Charmer Edwin by Magnolia, the journal block is by Papirloftet, the box of chocolates is also a Magnolia stamp. The papers are the same as the card above. I made a bit of a mess when making this card. Under the journal block is a nice part of the paper, which I stamped directly onto....and I accidentally stamped one of the letters upside down.....I really didn't want to waste the card...so added the journal block stamp.

I really love the Papirloftet stamps....so may have to look for more as I got all the ones I liked from www.CraftyKrafts.co.uk

Crafty Templates "Western Boot" Challenge

I had so much fun with this template. I really love western style boots...even though I don't own a pair....put that down to oversize calfs...LOL Anyway back to the card, I used a free template from Crafty Templates (which was fab....and I will be using it again), White Linen effect cardstock from Papermillshop, WRMK "Explore" papers, Sakura glitter pen and misc bling and brad.....

So a huge thanks to Leo (CraftyPrincess on UKS) and Crafty Templates for a fab challenge.

As my 19th wedding anniversary is coming up this month I thought I would come up with a couple. So here is one I have had on the go all week, and it just wouldn't work....finally I worked out how to do the circle sentiments on the computer and got the printer hooked up properly....plus some velvet ribbon...a Scrapbook Inspirations freebie.

I am also working on another anniversary card, but cocked up on the stamping last night...so need to salvage it a little later....will be back to show it later.

Tilda & Co Challenge Blog

Last night I had a go at this weeks challenge over on Tilda & Co Challenge Blog. The challenge this week was to do create something with a "Spring" feel. A lot of the inspiration for the colours and how she is stamped came from Leann's card this week...although mine are not quite as muted as hers. So I used Tilda in the heart dress stamp, See D's circle sentiment stamp for the "Happy Birthday", Basic Grey "Phoebe" papers, American Craft ribbon and a Paper Mania button.

Another fab challenge this week from the talented ladies over on the DT. I have made some more of the Easter boxes, and will post a picture this evening of them all together.
